The device records the belt’s natural frequency. Sensitive sensors allow for a relatively large measurement distance between the sensor and the belt. Using the basic principle of disc vibration, the belt pre-tension and the belt’s natural frequency are related. Therefore, the belt tension can be easily and quickly calculated based on the measured frequency.
BRECO TSM ALPHA 2 offers a wide measurement range, from 5 Hz to 500 Hz. The measurement accuracy is 1 Hz, ensuring reliable and precise tension measurements. The device guarantees accurate measurements, with a maximum tolerance of ±1 Hz (for frequencies over 100 Hz: ±2 Hz). This exceptionally small tolerance ensures accurate and repeatable results. The device is equipped with a clear 3-digit LCD display, which shows the measured values clearly.
