Servo motors are used in industrial applications where precision is essential, such as robotics, CNC machines, and automation systems. They provide accurate control of position, speed, and acceleration, enhancing process efficiency and product quality. Servo motors are especially valuable for enabling fast and precise motion control, which is critical in complex industrial operations. Hiwin and Yaskawa servo motors are compact, high-quality solutions designed for fast and precise movement in mechatronic projects. These motors are available with incremental or absolute encoders — with resolutions up to 24-bit.
The newly developed Hiwin EM1 servo motor is designed for a wide range of automation applications, including semiconductor, laser cutting, PCB, electronics, energy, inspection/measurement, and automotive industries. Compared to the previous FR series, the EM1 offers higher speed, increased encoder resolution, and a more compact form factor. When paired with the new E1 series servo amplifier, the motor delivers fast settling times and excellent stability, improving overall production efficiency.
Key Features:
Speeds up to 6,000 rpm (depending on model)
23-bit encoder resolution (8 million pulses per revolution)
Available in both absolute and incremental encoder versions
Power range: 50 W – 2 kW, optional brake
Easy and quick installation
Custom cable lengths and connector options available
The Sigma-X servo motor series covers a broad power range, from 50 watts up to 15 kilowatts, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications such as packaging machines, robotics, and machine tools. Their wide operating range combined with an exceptionally compact design makes these motors an excellent choice for both new system designs and retrofitting existing equipment.
The system is currently available in a 200 V version with power ratings from 50 W to 15 kW. 400 V models are expected to be released in the near future. New servo amplifiers are also available, supporting simultaneous connection of up to three servo motors.
Key Features:
Ultra-compact servo motor designs
24-bit encoder resolution (16 million pulses per revolution)
Available in both absolute and incremental encoder versions
200 V operation
Power range: 50 W – 15 kW, optional brake
