Harmonic Gear Heads
Harmonic drives offer high gear ratios in an extremely compact size and are completely free of backlash. Depending on the need, the gears can be chosen either as components integrated into the application structure or as complete assemblies fitted with a motor. The design of the harmonic drive also allows for a hollow shaft through the gear unit, which can be used for routing electrical or pneumatic supplies.
